Pan-Pot’s whimsically titled new album “Pan-O-Rama” is out now on Mobilee Records and perfect for your crate if have a penchant for scaring women and children or spending a night out at the club hiding in a hole in the corner of the room. An interview that hopefully contains a few wise words from the dup who believe “Nobody has the patent on a haircut or a moustache”. Interesting stuff.

Lopazz / Kook Kook

Kook Kook : Lopazz

Latest album from Get Physical and film composer Lopazz which ironically enough is as fresh as it gets at the moment despite the retro feel. ‘Share My Rhythm’. ‘Discogs’ (delightfully titled for all us nerds) and ‘We Are’ are definite highlights transporting your mind back a decade or two while your feet stay firmly planted on the dancefloor of today. Could do with a touch more cowbell…but what album couldn’t?

October looks a little slow as the Summer has well and truly come to end, but there are still a few events to pique the interest and make the journey into the cold worthwhile.

5TH OCT (FRI) – Nevertheless @ Corsica Studios
Canadian star Mike Shannon is joined by a handful of quality producers including Arnaud Le Texier (Sushitech), Ion Ludwig (Resopal/Underline), Mark Henning (Trapez/Freude am Tanzen) and James Priestley (Simple).

13TH OCT (SAT) – Circo Loco Ibiza Reunion @ Secret Location
Get together with Cirrilo and Clive Henry to kid yourself that you are off in the Balearics. As long as you keep your eyes close, ignore the fact you are wearing thermal underwear and concentrate on the deep beats you should be perfectly fine.

Another successful year for the label/club celebrated by flavour of the month Cobblestone Jazz, Ellen Allien, Optimo, Tobi Neumann and of course long time resident Craig Richards.

27TH OCT (SAT) – We Love…Mulletover Halloween Fancy Dress Party @ Secret Shoreditch Location

While most 14 year olds were out causing ruckus, James “Jimbo” Cayzer started to making dance music and has since worked with top labels like Vapour, Ministry of Sound and Supplement Facts to name but a few. He has started his own label, Red Seven Records which primarily releases his own productions however with his ever growing popularity, it is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Higherfrequency talked with this rising star on a recent tour and asked him about his label, his mix of sounds, and what’s in store for the future.
